Welcome to KVK Design!

My name is Katie Kennett! I am studying to become an Interior Designer. I became interested in design because of my dad. He owns an architecture firm in High Point, NC. He has been the person I look up to and my guide throughout this process. 

     During high school, I decided I wanted to pursue interior design, so I enrolled in an Architectural Technology and Design Program at Randolph Community College as a dual enrollment student. Randolph was an amazing experience for me. It was a chance for me to get my basics down in Interior Design before going into a four-year college. I learned a lot and met many great, talented professors and friends. I had the opportunity to work on a holiday house in Lexington with some established designers. I learned how to work with people who have different design tastes than me, but the best part was learning that I am in the right field.  

      After graduation, I chose to attend Western Carolina University where I am currently a junior and completing my Interior Design degree. I have expanded my knowledge in many different programs like AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, and SketchUp, and learned how to network with others. This experience has been challenging, furthering my love for interior design and has me excited for my future!
