McCullen Bathroom Remodel- Residential
Project Description:
Mary McCullen is a 68-year-old, widowed female who resides in her home with her vision-impaired daughter & her hearing-impaired son-in-law. Mary has been ensuring the well-being & safety of her daughter & son-in-law for many years. While Mary’s daughter & her husband are capable of caring for themselves, Mary often oversees tasks such as cooking, cleaning, & laundry. Having recently been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, Mary is finding her mobility is rapidly decreasing & has decided to have a ramp built from her master bedroom to the garden patio, which is her favorite spot, in addition to a renovation of her en suite to accommodate her mobility issues. Currently, Mary uses a cane most days but has had to use her walker more frequently as of late. As her disease progresses, Mary has accepted that she will be using a wheelchair, likely with assistance in the near future. Mary’s master suite heavily reflects her Brazilian culture She wishes to carry that theme into her master en suite. She also wishes to replace her current single-sink vanity with a double-bowl vanity so that her daughter & son-in-law may use the space for themselves one day. Mary’s en suite is currently 45 sq. ft. with a step-in tub/shower. She would like to increase the sq. ft. to 85 sq. ft. & has the space to expand. She would like to have a zero-transition shower, & a soaking tub that is both wheelchair friendly.
